The Golden Beach Resort & Spa is not quite living up to its advertised 5-star status. While it has friendly staff and nice, spacious suites, the maintenance and dining options were below expectations. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area, but there are certainly better hotel options in Punta del Este.

The Golden Beach Resort & Spa has a central location in Punta del Este, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. While the rooms are spacious with a mini-kitchen, our first room had some issues with loose tiles, and the second room was smaller. The service from some staff was commendable, but language barriers could be frustrating. Dining options at the hotel were lackluster, but there's an amazing restaurant nearby that made our stay worthwhile. Overall, it's decent, but there's better out there.

I recently stayed at Golden Beach Resort & Spa and while it has some highlights, it's not quite the 5-star experience it's marketed as. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Punta del Este, with easy access to beaches and shops. The spacious suites are comfortable, but the amenities could use a serious overhaul. The friendly service helped make the stay enjoyable, although the dining was not impressive. Overall, it's decent, but I would look for something better on my next visit.
